June 1-5
I started exercising at the gym on June 1. 5 min. on treadmill at .5 mph and 0% incline. 2 sets of 5 min. on arm ergometer, 1 at setting 4 and 1 at setting 5 keeping rpm to 50 or more. 2 sets 15 reps of flies, 1 at 20 lb., 1 at 30 lb., sitting pull down abs 1 set at 30 lb., 1 set of pull backs at 30 lb. Stretched about 3 min. after 1st ergometer set. heart rate at 84, 90, and 96 over 45 min. period. (50% would be 92). June 3 I did same sets only started ergometer at setting 5 (too much) and added standing pull-down abs and was corrected to do only elbow height and down with control. sets were 12 reps. heart rate was running 112 on treadmill, 90-96 on ergometer, and finished with 72 after rest. besides gym exercises, i did more "running around" than usual, and more climbing steps at home than usual. eating salads, lots of veggies, banana, mango strips, few nuts, chicken breast, gyro. not hungry. lost 10 lb.
