There are PLENTY of shows from that time frame that had racist innuendos and jokes in them. The Honeymooners, countless Disney cartoons and Sesame Street (yes, I do mean Sesame Street) come to mind. Not that it's right and not that it's wrong, but this WAS the climate in that time. We in the 21st century look back horrified, but that's the way things were back then. Disgusting, yes. Sad, yes. Real, very.
