Yuck. I have taught my kids the same thing. I don't like some of their music and they don't like some of mine. But we try to respect each others choices. Maybe you could talkabout finding some music you can both enjoy. and PLEASE don't hit her anymore, Someday she won't be around any more. Then you will wish you had done things differently. Good luck.
