10/19 "I'm Gay, OK?"
Quote From: notawitchWhen did eating disorders become a sin?
Dang, and here I thought it was an illness.
Of course, if it is an illness, then how can it be a sin? Illnesses are not chosen behaviors. Sins are.
I'll respectfully remind you that the Word admonishes us to honor our bodies as 'living temples", which is our reasonable service. So, bulimia, which destroys the temple is sinful. Why? Because it is a SPIRIT. When you label alcoholism and homosexuality and bulimia etc. illnesses, you allow the person to shirk culpability for their actions and you overlook what the Bible says about them. There is no forgiveness available unitl we confess our sins. What is so hard about saying, "I'm Gay, or alcohoic, or a pedophile, etc., and like everyone else, I'm a sinner and need help?" These things are what the Bible calls 'generational curses". See David and Sampson's lives for examples of this. Or look at your own family. Is there a history of suicide or divorce or poverty or homosexuality in your family line.. These are the things that Jesus died to set us free from. These things are demons, spirits which are sent to torture, confuse and destroy God's precious creatures. Hell wasn't created for people, but for those angels that fell when Lucifer did, who was renamed Satan. The word 'demon' sounds severe when really it just refers to a fallen angel. People have not problem believing that pretty frilly angels exist, but folks balk when you mention evil spirits, demons. Funny thing is, most cultures believe that there is an evil presence here in the earth. His name in Hebrew is HaSatan, Satan. It is his ultimate goal to detsroy as many lives, families, dreams and destinies as possible. If Satan and his legions can distract us from our God given purposes and the blessings of our Creator, and from the straight and narrow path which is our guidebook and our protection, then he can ultimately separate us from the God who loves us.
