working in child protective services I know all about predators and child abuse and i have to say you come across as over the top and hysterical. Children are not routinely kidnapped by strangers and leaving a nine yr old to come home on the subway doesn't even come close to a legal definition of child abuse. You may not agree with what this mother did but she has a right to make decisions on how to raise her child without someone acussing her of abuse. By the way if your worried about someone abusing your child look no further than in your own home. Virtually all abuse takes place with someone the child and the familiy knows. So while most people are afriad to let their kid out in public and they rotinely rob children of their childhood with unreasonable fears, the real predator is usually living under the same roof and the child has no safe place to go..
