Quote From: max_01Hi blessed23 ,
It is not my place to judge perportrators or sinners. That is God's, and God's alone. It is, however, my right to hold those that harm others, myself included, responsible for their actions. Thus, I turn my cheek to thuse that inflict harm unto me or others.
To find love for another is to look beyond their sin. Such is the sticky place many Christians find themselves in. They tend to get mired in the "sin" rather than lifting the spirit of the sinner.
And the problem of sin in it's self, is that we are all born with sin and must constantly define what is sin. Sin of the Old Testament, as described by Lavitical law, no longer applies to moder day Christians. This is just one example as to how our deffinition of sin has changed to meet man's ideas of God, Christ, and sin.
We will all find out on our judgement day, what sins we are accountable for in the Eyes of God. I'll leave it up to Him to determine that. All I know is that I will be measured, in God's eyes, by the measer that I judge others or have compassion for others.
So I guess I could say that those that judge me harshly for being gay, wo to ye, least ye be judged. The ivory tomb that you are preparing for yourself will be your prison.
I am so tired of so-called "Christians" setting themselves up as judge and jury in the name of God. Just where in the Bible does it say we have that right? I have been a Christian all my life, but my Christianity has taught me tolerance, love and acceptance of all God's creatures. If being gay is a sin, or if being a Muslim or a Jew or a Buddhist won't get you into heaven, then let God decide at the Judgement Day and let man go on about the business of doing good unto others and loving all others as we love ourselves, directives from God Himself.
