Quote From: blessed23Actually, the New Testament also recognizes homosexuality as sin. And calling sin what it is not a judgement. It is a fact that homosexuality is sin as far as the Bible is concerned. Just because you deny it doesn't make it any less true. People have no trouble "judging" murderers as monsters, or being "judged" as beautiful or smart. Apparently, having any opinion at all is judgmental. Stating sin as what it is is not judgement, but something a loving Christian does in hopes of opening one's eyes to the deception of Satan and to the hope of repentance through Jesus Christ. I say this in love, and would like to assure you that in no way do I advocate so called "gay bashing". I do believe that everyone deserves respect and to be loved. I feel the same about all sin. Including the sins and temptations I myself battle everyday. But I feel I must be truthful about what I belive to be true, and that I must represent the Bible and it's teachings if I am to call myself a Christian. I simply cannot in good conscience condone sin. That does not mean I'm perfect and don't stuggle with sin as well. It just means that I have learned to repent and turn from sin. I hope that God blesses you and that He reveals His truth to you.
blessed23 ,
Thanks.
God's blessing is upon us all. It is up to each one of us to whitness this for ourselves.
My problem is in the deffinition of sin, its self and the multiple interrpetations and reconstructions of the Bible. I truely believe that each one of us will be judged, individually. And I have my own spin on how. But thats not the point.
Judge not, least ye be judged. J.C.
~ This is to say, that I am accountable for the level at which I judge others.
Love your neighbor as you would love yourself. J.C.
~ This is to say, have the same level of respect and compassion for my fellow man as I hold for myself and that God has for me.
Those without sin may cast the first stone. J.C.
~ This is to say, those that have turned completely from sin and are free from sin its self, may stand in God's shoes and begin the judgement.
I pray that I may find the stength and compassion within myself to see the person first, and not their sin.
