Quote From: blessed23I do have complete respect for all people, and I do not judge anyone's heart as God does. If someone says they are gay then it is a fact that they are gay, not a judgement. God calls homosexuality a sin in his Word. Therefore as a Christian, I can call homosexuality a sin. That is what God calls it. And you said that you have your "own spin" on how we will be judged, but we will be judged according to God's spin on things. The Bible is our guide to His spin on things. The Bible tells us not to lean on our own understanding. That is where Satan trips us up. God's ways are above our ways. Just because we don't understand God's ways does not make them any less valid. We need to pray for His wisdom, not try to bring Him down to our level of understanding.
I guess I need to clarify.
Spin, as I ment it is to mean my understanding of Jesus' teachings.
I do not pretend to think that I can ever be on the same level of God, be it He on mine or me on His. Gos and Jesus will always be above me. And I do not pretend to have blind faith.
Because I do not understand God's ways, I find myself questioning and asking for His guidence in understanding Him and His wishes for me. It is up to me to listen.
However, we are off topic.
As a Christian and a gay male, I too live in contradiction to many other Christians.
This is why I say not to place other's sins above your own.
Jesus tought me that much.
