10/19 "I'm Gay, OK?"

Quote From: max_01

It still is a rose.

Lets see if I understand here, and I may be wrong, but...

God hates sin. Someone said that in this thread.

Homosexuality is a sin. Someone has said that.

The Bible told me so. Others back themselves up with that one too.

Call it what you must/want, hatred by any means is hatered. Wrap it up in a pretty box and put a bow on it, the message is still clear.

sueellis35 ,

Sorry in advance for useing you as an example, but since this has been brought up already about your deamons, I will take liberty here.

An overweight person faces many hurdles in life. Challanges posed by genetics, emotions, conditions, and triggers. Some people face more, some less.

However, in todays society, overweight people, on a whole, tend to have to face hatred/disgust of their size. They are told by others that thay are not healthy, that they take up too much room and need to pay for that extra seat on the plane, given the evil eye for ordering their fries kingsized, and then given another spaztic eye when they order a diet coke wiht that, oh, did I just make an inapproiate comment about how contrdictory  society, or a large portion of society look down on those that are deemed to be overweight?

Is that not precieved as hatred of something you are, by others?

All without directly saying, "I hate overweight people, and that means you."

Again, sorry sueellis35  for useing you in this way. I may have taken too much liberty here, but my example can be spread across the board (not the message board) yo be applied to various issues. Be it weight, sexism, or hetrosexist.

A ROSE, BY ANY OTHER NAME, IS STILL A ROSE.

See the difference between you and me is I can take criticism.  I know God loves me.  I know that I am loved by my family, friends, my church family.  Which to let you know...Have all talked to me about my weight.  See I am not opposed to taking sin out of my life in order to lead a life more approving to God.  I am not opposed to saying this is my issue and I am not going to use anything...abuse, childhood trauma or anything else as an excuse for it.  It is what it is...you are right about that, it is sin.  But, see unlike you, I have a awesome relationship with God, and He not a human, but He has convicted my heart, and He is going to deliver me from the sin.

This is an issue I am working on daily and have already seen lots of progress being made.

God Bless
