10/19 "I'm Gay, OK?"

Quote From: pbdavis

I watched the show and know that religion was a huge part of it.

That said and I know people are going to be angry but please remember that "God" did not write the bible, men wrote the bible and who is to say that they didn't get it 100% correct? Man is fallible.

It is true that people will have opinions, as they are entitled.

But what some people find immoral or sinful others don't(like me).

Of course if you haven't guessed I'm agnostic. As long as everyone is saying that they are christians or whatever figured you need a good old fashioned hethen's point of view.

First of all, thanks for your response and not coming off with an attack...THANK YOU

Alot of people pose that question about the bible being true.  I can only tell you that I can understand why you would have doubts, but I don't.  I believe the bible to be 100% the word of God.

I guess one of the great things about free will and freedom of choice is we all get to have our own opinions.

Again, thanks for the response and have a wonderful evening.

It's true God himself did not write the bible, but he chose the men who did, and the bible is not just a single book, but I would not expect someone who didn't try to understand and study the books of the bible to have anything good to say, but that's okay, your not the only fool to bash Christians, we're used to it but God said it would be this way, our will is to please God and keep trying to reach the lost (you my friend),  you can not nor never will you break the will of a true Christian. I will pray for you and ask God to forgive you because you are very troubled.  God Bless you

Holy men inspired by God wrote the Bible.

Some of them were kings, some were farmers.  Most did not know each other.  They lived in different geographical locations.  Their written history spans thousands of years.  Despite these facts, they had one thing in common - the same God.   And these men wrote as God inspired them.  They praised and worshipped one God and considered themselves very lowly and humble in comparison.  How many writers want themselves to be known as 'worm like"?

The first books of the Bible are also happen to be the first known written accounts by mankind

And there are more than 500 peices of evidence to prove it's authenticity - even the writing themselves have been proven to have been remarkably preserved through the Dead sea Scrolls.  Just two weeks ago, a 2000 year old copy of Leviticus was found.   There is even some archaeological proof of the people written about - Logically, the royalty, like King David, King Hezekiah, Queen Jezebel and King Nebuchadnezzar.

Some of the writers foretold future events.  In fact 1/4 of the Bible is about prophesy and it just happens to be 100 percent accurate in all accounts thus far.
