The Jewish Christians used Scripture to substantuate their belief that the Gospel was only for the Jews. And the Holy Spirit took care of that issue. First bringing the "Good News" to the Samaritans, then to the Eunuchs (see the story of Philip) and then to the Gentiles. God has a way of getting us to see things in a new light.
