Writing in text and pasting?
Quote From: idealw8Cherie, I don't know the technical terms, but the Message Board software is in charge when we are in the text box. There are fewer options & different rules than when you try to do the same things in a word processing program.
After some experimentation, I find it best to write my messages in unformatted text (like using notepad) and then paste it here. I'd love to be able to write in text and paste, but unfortunately, as I've expressed to the Moderator SEVERAL times both here and on the "help" board (but they keep getting deleted), MY CUT, PASTE, and COPY functions don't WORK in the message box. So please tell me how can I write in text and paste if PASTE doesn't function?!? I am getting really frustrated with this--I seem to be the only one who has expressed this problem. Or maybe they are deleting ALL questions relating to this problem. No, there goes my paranoia again--I know (or at least I believe) they aren't singling me out, but I am not able to use the cut/paste feature that I can use in wordpad, WordPerfect or Word (all of which I have on my computer). I am very well acquainted with cut/paste and use it often in my job as a journeyman printer!!!! I set type for a publishing company 5 days a week and I am not able to use those functions in the message box. I just wish I could get an answer WHY or at least have the programmers try to figure out how I could be able to use them like everybody else seems to be able to.
Sorry to yell (in caps) at you Megan, I see you often on the Tech Help board too and you are doing a lot of neat things on the new board. I do like a lot of the changes, but this is one that I find particularly frustrating!
