Thank you for sharing your story. There are literally thousands of people such as yourself who fly below the radar screen, so to speak. Feeling too ashamed to live honestly because of the negative social messages tha they have internalized , they find it easier to conform to "normal" society. I understand your life because I also lived it. Finally 3 years ago, I had enough and chose to live fully as a Transexual...the real person that I was...not a man, not a genetic woman, but a Trans woman. I am not like everyone else. I am different but beautiful in my own special way. It has taken me a whole lifetime to reach that level of self acceptance and pride.
It has been a challenging but rewarding journey. Yes, I have lost some friends and family members along the way, but I have gained many more friends than I lost. Whatever was lost, I gained in truly finding and embracing myself and finding others who appreciate me for who I really am.
