However, when someone turns from straight to gay, you have no problems whatsoever and cheer loudly believing they've done some wonderful thing.
A serious double standard and it's also hypocritical. I'm amused by how some Christians are able to speak with authority about things that are matters of experience, like 'turning' from homosexuality to heterosexuality. Just the fact that so many people claim to have turned doesn't make it so. I would need to prove definitively that they were not bisexual, since , if they were, that would not be a 'turning'. It's as questionable as the claim that gays can 'convert' children to become homosexual, when they aren't already. What further complicates the issue, is whether these 'thousands' are heterosexually active. If like the priest, they are celibate, that proves exactly nothing. If they are, then, we are dealing with behavior, not orientation. There are so many stories of married men who 'discover' that they are gay, yet performed heterosexually.
