Dr. Phil, you have only touched the tip of the iceburg the veterans have to go through, we earned the right to seek help from the va. When you try to go to the V A to get help you have to wait for an approval if you can be seen. Then if you have insurance it gets charged every time you are treated at the V A.
If you get diagnosed with a service related problem you apply for compensation, then you have to jump through hoops with compensation and pension reviews, then the first time you are usually refused, or given 0%. I have been fighting with the VA since 1986, finally I received a 100% rating, when it was found i had Prostate Cancer, but it was only temporary. I had the seed implants and once my PSA was back to a normal level, the VA cut 80% out, I still have the seeds, I still take medication every day to control the swelling.
The veterans administration is a scam to all veterans of all wars.
Check out the class action law suite George E. Day, won just to give us back our rights as veterans.
