04/21 What's Hormones Got to Do with It?

Your shows are always very informative, but please bear in mind that most insurance programs do not cover bio identical hormone therapy. And some womem cannot afford the copay on regular hormones.
I agree.  I posted a comment immediately after watching the show about two hours ago--then I found a physician near DC who may be able to prescribe bioidentical hormones for me--but the cost is prohibitive!
I simply cannot afford them.
With our only child in college, and barely being able to make ends meet as it is, HOW ON EARTH CAN I POSSIBLY WORK SOMETHING LIKE THIS into our already overstretched budget?
My husband has already tapped into his 401k just to pay some of our bills as it is!
I could not possibly ask him to pay for this--to make our sex life more interesting--to keep me from getting hot flashes, and night sweats.
JEEZ.
Am I disappointed.
And ever so sad.
Can you all hear me wailing?

I am hoping that you could provide a reputable doctor in NJ that could run a hormone profile for me. I am on so many medications (paxil, remeron, buspar, valium, vicoden,) .  I am hoping that if my hormone levels were appropriate, I could end this medication merry-go-round, and lift my depression.
