Welcome mikkas/mj

Quote From: mjkkas

I have a daughter that married 4 weeks before her new husband was deployed. I think he is a hero, he may have gone for the wrong reasons, but he is doing a good thing I feel.

You see, he was part of a family cult (I hate using that word, but it is the best I can do for now), he left that place he once called home and they have disowned him. His dad died in June of this year and he went there to be there in his last days and he was not welcome.

Anyway, leaving this lifestyle, he felt so alone and was very depressed and suicidal. Didn't want to Kill himself, so he volunteered for the war, it wouldn't matter if he got killed over there (his thought).

He is such a wonderful young man and I am proud that he is in our family now. Unfortunately, the

separation from his new wife is taking a toll on there marriage. He should be home tomorrow on leave and he is thinking of finding a divorce lawyer :(.

I try to help them out and I know it is up to them, but I will not let him not have a family that loves him. I chat with him almost daily and he is plagued with bombings and them sneaking into their

ammo and such things, I know he hasn't and couldn't tell me all, but that is enough for me.

I just think that the soldiers that are out there are wonderful and courageous people and I am proud to be an American. I bless all out there and hope that they can return safely.

Thank you for listening/reading this.

Thanks for telling us about your son-in-law. Yes, I agree, the soldiers are truly courageous and they are heroes!

How are things going with the young couple? Hope things turn out for the est for them. Separation is not easy even it the best of circumstances. We are anxious to hear how they are doing.

Let us know how you are doing also. All these changes in your family are stressful and you need to take care of yourself too. I hope we can be of support to you now and in the future.

Thanks again for writing!
