These women are taught that they are free so long as they do as they are told by their "priesthood head". And he is building in Texas, and no one knows his wearabouts. But who really cares where he is? Why can't the govt. step in and take charge of the situation that is happening in CC right now? We didn't know where Bin Ladin was and we tore apart "his" country. I hate to draw those parallels...but well it is just so easy to do.
