The Originator of Rest On Sunday Has Once Again Proved Himself Divine.
Quote From: judyblue22 If it were up to me, we would return to having nothing but the most essential services open on Sundays. I really regret the change that allowed Sunday opening of businesses. Until then, most families were able count on being all together one day each week. Now, there are lots of families that barely see each other. I guess that's easy since the command was accredited to You Know Who. Over the years I've gotten used to it. Its fun to go out to all the restaurants after church. However, with my recent post I just started thinking, You know God got that one right too because here we are. Us faulty humans; we dont know how to step off of the tread mill long enough to step back and evaluate all the merchandizing. A day of rest is exactly what we need. Things will get more and more hectic as opportunists cram that day full for us. A good example of that is sports practices and even games for kids held on Sundays. To me it is a turn off but heaven help a parent who protests if they want their child to play and not be ridiculed. I will get back to the shopping problem. We do need a rest. It would help our stress levels here in the country if we returned to one quiet day a week. Rudeness might plummet also along with credit card debt. I'm all for that.
