actually it is true.. look at road rage

Quote From: azwoman

That's not true.

So many women don't report. So many men don't report. There's so much shame and questioning one's self. The victim victimizes his/herself. They want to ignore it. They want it to go away. It's hard to live with sexual assualt.

(Sexual harassment typically veers more to words. And it's not any better. It's just a violating. Sometimes more so because who's at fault gets more distorted than ever.)

Reading through your messages... I have to wonder... I only know one type of person who makes these statements. The psychology of that person... well, it's pretty much a consensus.

Sexual assault ( as opposed to the more narrow definition of rape) is a wide range of items.. a big tent for example. To remove the emotion from it.. look at it like road rage.

Most people think a victim of road rage was hit by someone.. or had an altercation outside the vehicle etc... not true

If you cut someone off accidentally.. and he gives you the finger... you are a victim of road rage..

sexual assault encompasses so much.. words.. jokes.. a "climate of sexuality" ( if there is a girly poster there) etc as well as unwanted touching, rape, etc.. becuase it is an all encompassing term a larger group of people have been the "victim" of sexual assault.

Yes.. one type of person makes these statements.. i have  a thing about personal responsibility, I have a thing about calling whiners and self destructive people..whiners and self destructive people. I dont " feel your pain".. i dont " share your feelings".. and if it is crap.. i call it crap

Imagine if you went to therapy.. and the psychologist stopped blowing sunshine up your butt and got the the heart of the issue before you read 6 books and paid $5,000... Imagine if you could ask someone .. "is it me that is screwed up?' and have them say.. YES..

We spend way too much time redefining things so we can all feel better.

It may be sexual assault if another guy in the Gym shower looks at my behind.. and I dont want the attention.. but i will not need a weekend retreat with Dr. Phil if it happens to me.

Redefining sexual assault to include both somone in the shower looking at my behind.. and a gang rape does a massive disservice to victims of both.. one is blown out of proportion and one is sugar coated. And that.. is crap.
