Goodness

Quote From: lauren26

I can't tell you how appauled I was after watching Love Smart. It made it seem as though women are the only ones who make mistakes when it comes to dating. You put a group of men to spy on women, then judge and criticize them. Why wasn't it looked at from both sides of the spectrum. I am sure that the group of women could have found a few things wrong with  the men. It seemed as though women should change to get a men, while the men don't have any problems. I  thought society was working steadily towards beating sexism , but this episode made me realize that patriarchy still dominates. Dr. Phil, I challenge you to host an episode that focuses  equally on men and women's dating dilemmas!
Oh goodness... relax a little sounds like you too have man issues I'm sure it's the same either sex... and NEVER was it suggested that women were the only ones that make mistakes???

I also noticed, what is so special about these guys? Who says they are "it"? I agree, us guys need all the help we can get. I hope Dr. Phil lets me be on his on-line dating show, wow do I have some stories to share! Some good, some, "my bad", oops! I wish to be reincarnated as a beautiful girl, the world is at your "French-tip fingernails"!!!

If a woman's looking for a guy is it easier/more sensible for her to: A) change/correct/improve what she's doing or B) change what the guys are doing? The answer is A - if you're a woman looking for a guy, then you should first work on improving what you're doing. As for getting men to critique women, it makes perfect sense in this context. Likewise, I can think of no better judge of a man's "dating skills" than women. As for focusing equally on men and women, recall that the entire book is based on women's dating dilemmas. Women are Phil's target demographic, so that's where he's targeting his advice.
