A woman is definitely worth putting on a pedestal, but is not a man? How sad it will be for your man when he is expected to treat you like the "queen" you are, and you are not treating him like the "king" he is. Society, media, TV, have all contributed to men looking stupid, weak and spineless, and not worth the soil under women's feet. They have been made to feel as though their needs and feelings should be put aside while women throw hissy fits about being treated as an equal.
Men and women are inherently different. We are not equal, yet we all deserve to be treated with mutual respect, appreciation and adoration from our spouse (partner). I am a proud wife and stay at home mother of three children. I have have attempted working out of the home on two separate occasions and found both times incredibly difficult. I am not willing to sacrifice my children's stability and security for a few extra dollars. Children are precious gifts from God, AS ARE HUSBANDS. I try to take care of my husband, so that he doesn't have to worry about clean socks and underwear, but it doesn't always happen. When he can't find a clean pair, he knows where the washing machine is, and appreciates all the more when it is done for him.
I respect his decisions, which in future, affords his respect for my decisions. Marriage is give and take... if everyone tried to GIVE more than take, there would be fewer divorces.
I guess what it all boils down to is this... "Treat others as you would like to be treated", INCLUDING your husband. Don't listen to what pop culture tells you... men are strong and want to take care of their families, allow them the dignity to do so.
