I would suggest looking up "sleep disorders" and another suggestion is to talk to your doctor. In our modern society we are so stressed out, over worked, over stimulated. Sometimes our brains are overloaded and it makes us do weird things. Don't look to false explanations. Look to science and reason.

Like Dr. Phil said on his show ..  it is more of like a sound they make.. to us it sounds like they are talking in a differant language.  I wonder from going threw it myself.. it is all most before i was diag. as being bipolar.  My husband said I did things that where like I was possed.  (sorry about bad spelling)

the only speaking in tongues that I know about happens when you confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit dwells in the believer and gives the person the ability to speak in a tongue that the Spirit gave them. (Acts 2:1-4).  This is speaking a Heavenly language to God.  So if your husband hasn't asked the Lord into his heart, I don't think he is speaking in tongues.  Dreams are very symbolic.  God speaks to us through symbols in our dreams.  A dog to you could be a symbol of fear if you got bit by one as a child, and for me it could mean protection and comfort.  I don't know the emotion that your husand feels during these dreams, but try and identify what happened a year ago that maybe triggered this. 

 

Speaking in tongues a spiritual gift given by Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17, 1 Corinthians 12:3-11) so that the ones that are in Him will have the power to communicate at any time.  People that are not spiritual gifted can’t speak on this subject.  The flow can be from God/Jesus to man, man to God/Jesus or form man to man.  The language can be a known language or an unknown language or a combination of the two.  Or it could just be stuttering our utterances.  All of this depends on the level of the gift and to whom the person is speaking to at the time.  Beginners (lower level) may make utterances, etc.  Higher level people can speak in a language very fluidly at will.  If the person is speaking to God/Jesus directly then the language may be unknown so it will be a privet matter, even from the devil.  If the tongue is meant for people to hear, it can very well be in a known tongue.  I state it that way because there is the gift of the interpretation of tongues also.  So if a person is speaking and there is a person with the gift of interpretation around, that person may understand what is being said even if the tongue is unknown or even if the person doesn’t know the language (tongue).  I speak very fluidly in all tongues and I was able to understand all tongues before I was able to speak in them.  There is much more to this and other gifts.  And yes, evil people/spirits can speak in tongues also.  I am the prophet of Jesus!  The Lord be with you! 

The Bible speakes of speaking in unknown tongues as an angelic language, where the Spirit Speaks through the believer. I myself speak in tongues, however, I am a born-again Spirit filled believer In Yeshua ( Jesus Christ ). Read Act 2 on beyond in the Bible. Also read  Mark 16, the last chapter. It speaks of the sign of the believer. One of which is  speaking in tongues. However their is a conterfit as the devil cannot create anything, only copy what God is doing and warp it. False tongues cannot be controlled by the person. The Holy Spirit is a Gentleman and doesn't force anyone against their will so real tongues is a sign of a born-again believer and can be activated by the believer at will and stopped at will. Also, when we believer pray or sing in tongues it brings us closer to God. Praying His Will and not ours. Tongues, by-passes our intellect, as God doesn't appeal to man's intellect. The ways of God seem as foolishness to man. His ways are not our ways. There is also speaking in tongues in a minstry setting, where there is interpretation of tongues. There is also a Gift of the Holy Spirit where a person who doesn't speak a foreign language can speak that language to someone who needs Gods message, in their foreign language as in the book of Acts, which is alive today. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Bibles say if we being evil give good gifts to our children, how much more does our Heavenly Father give the Gift of the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. The tongues and gifts of God always point to the Giver of The Gifts and bring us closer to Him. The Bible says Every Good and Perfect Gift comes from the Father Of Lights! Jehova God of the Bible The only way to the Father is through the Son, Jesus Christ (Yeshua Is His Hebrew Name)  I received Jesus into my heart 14 yrs ago, as did my husband, and have never been the same, as Iv'e been set free of many things and will never go back! Call on Jesus, the only way to God the Father and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, and if you need help or want to be set free from anything contact me. I have seen many people set free and it is AWSOME as Jesus came to set the captive free.  He willingly sacrificed Himself on the cross "just for me and you, and as a matter of fact,   He would have gone to the cross Just For YOU!!
