New Age?

Quote From: luigi2000

Night terrors can also be confused with outter -body phenomenon.  Although Dr. Phil may not believe these things are possible (paranormal), I know they are.  And I think some additional guided reading might be of help.  I had very similar issues to yours for a very long time but found that once I understood it was my spirit trying to get back into it's physical body after an astral trip--and that I was a little more awake than when my spirit left--it was easy to understand and accept.  There are many authors--not necessarily New Age, that explain this.  I hope you will look for and find answers in this realm..  I do not believe that there is a hell other than the one here on earth, nor do I believe in the devil, per se.  I do, however, believe there are less than good people who perhaps have no souls.  But they aren't any more able to haunt or posess others than you are. If nothing else, ask that the White Light of the Holy Spirit surround you and protect you as you fall asleep.  And God will answer.  Good luck.
I don't remember hearing Dr. Phil saying he either did or didn't believe in the "paranormal". But as far as night terrors goes a specialist sure wouldn't hurt.  Just don't rely too heavily on prescriptions as much as counsel to help you overcome all the negative thoughts that are kind of like getting jammed up on the highway of night dreams.  It's similar to a traffic jam of anxiety that your subconscience turns into unexplained dreams & behaviour while you sleep.  Similar to garbage in, garbage out.  At the same time I take exception to your belief that less than good people perhaps have no souls.  It reminds me of the white mans belief in referrence to the indians, they didn't belive the indians had souls.  If 1 human has a soul, all humans have a soul.  You may not like what they do or how they behave  but dismissing them as not having a soul is pretty grade schoolish.  If nothing else (as you put it), ask that the God that you know or may not know shows you the truth, the way and the light.

I believe I have night terrors because some nights they are worse than nightmares.  I wake up with pains in my forehead and am terrified, sometimes it feels like I bang into my own chest.  Does this make sense to anyone?  On rare occasions, I see in the dreamstate, myself get into a position and rise up into the air to either escape something awful or just because.  I've done some reading, especially fond of Sylvia Browne and think I might sometimes be doing astral travel.  This is all still frightening to me.  Any advice?
