He was actually married to 2 of them but things didn't work out since he was deployed twice (he was in the Army for 7 years and have been in the reserves ever since), I guess they didn't want to wait for him, plus I get the impression that a few of them were a bit crazy and cheated on him while he was gone. I don't know the whole stories on all of the situations, I'm almost afraid to ask and don't want to upset him but perhaps when I'm brave enough I'll ask. He just said that he was young, stupid & full of you know what. I certainly don't like to talk about all of my mistakes in my past which I have definitely made and I'm no angel (haha), I just don't have constant reminders. He's one of those guys who looks really bad on paper but I'm absolutely crazy about him. I have learned from so many mistakes before and this time things are being taken slowly and always on guard.
