I just thank GOD that I do not have a credit card.  I dont want one , I dont need one.  Growing up  poor made me realize that you dont need all the luxurys to survive. You guys taught me a lesson just by listening to you chat.
How do you blame the credit card companies for $80,000 in debt YOU created?  You charged that money, they didn't.  I don't understand what the problem is.  I would suggest that you get yourself a loan and make monthly payments and shred those credit cards.

My partner and I no longer have any credit cards either but we are in debt for $14.000 and we are being sued in Feb. He is 62 and we live in colorado no one will give him a job which is why were in debt as he lost his job right after Sept 11th when the world trade center was attacked and hasnt been able to get a job since. he did some temp work but alot of temp agency now are closed down and the ones still here told him that due to his age and the demand that he would probably not get a job that he would be put on the bottom of the list.

I am on SSI due to health and mental problems and i am on oxygen and unable to work. my income is only $603.00 A month.

We have no idea what will happen in Feb when we have to go to court, what happen was the credit card wrote this off almost four years ago and in june 2005 sold it to an attorneys office and they are the ones suing right now they taxed on interest of 28% and its just growing out of hand. in reality back four years ago we tried to settle with them and they refused.

we owed eight thousand at that time. now its up to fourteen anc thats all interest and fees.

We contacted a few attorneys but they said or less we could come up with a reasonable amount and try to make an offer they will win the judgement against us.

they will be able to come into our home and take things for auction and get our truck. the truck is used to take me to all my doctors and test ect.

my partner is being paid $300.00 a month to help with my care but outside of that and my SSI check thats basically our income. we have no way to come up with that amount certainly wont happen in Feb.

I also will be watching this show. thanks for listening. shirley
