Not all alcoholics drink to relieve stress, some drink because they are depressed. And we all know that alcoholism can be genetic as is depression. Can't cutting possibly be genetic? Doesn't the son also cut? My mother,sister and daughter all have depression. My uncle and nephew were alcoholics and depressed. We have no cutters that I am aware of. Why are people so afraid of the words "mental illness"?
