What relatives a man may not marry. In the US, cousin marriages are taboo and are banned in 24 states. According to recent research, there is an increased risk of genetic defects in the case of cousin marriages.
This couple really thinks they are not committing a sin. They also said that there's a verse in the bible that says so. I haven't found it.
I worry, because I care for one of them. Also, they said that Mary and Joesph were cousins.
I said they "IF" they were, and they were not, Joesph and Mary did not have relations for her to be pregnant. I did find a verse - Luke- Chapter 1 verses 35 -36 that there was a cousin thy cousin Elisabeth.
I'm not sure if I can help this couple or not. There's already a lot of people against this relationship. And the woman's children freaked out when they found out.
