Whats wrong with being a Bitch

Quote From: stepmomusa

To you, bitch stands for some positive things, to the rest of the English-speaking world it has negative connotations. When women proudly refer to themselves as "bitch", it's the same type of effect as an African-American proudly calling themselves the "N" word. It doesn't connote power, but rather a lack of self-respect and a lack of understanding about the origins of the word.

Anyway you read it..."Bitch" is just a word and I along with millions of other "Bitches" do not find the word offensive.  The women on the show however, where sad, angry and just plain wrong.  They have other underlying PROBLEMS....It is possible to be a bitch... and at the same time be.....strong,independent,honest happy, helpful, loving and a friend unconditionally to others...  Some Afro-American people call each other the "N" word with respect....either way you look at it, it's not the word but the people and tone they use when saying it that ends up offending others.....

life's way to sort to make a fuss about how others use the English language. It just comes down as judge-mental doesn't.........I am originally from England and Bitch is used there both as positive and negative depending who you are talking to....But here in Canada it is used more for the negative.....Sometimes I refer to myself or others as a Bitch, with a lot of self-respect, love and humor.  I am 53 and have never gone out of my way to offend or hurt anyones feelings when using the word.......BITCH........
