An Open Consideration of Reality and Religious Beliefs

Quote From: contrary

I am doing a bible study right now and got my last test back

one of the few questions I got wrong is

There are some people/nations/races that God does not love

True or False

Another is

The real cure and remedy for sin is found in more education

True/false

There is only one side to the forgiveness of sin,and that one side is the offer of God tho=rough Christ to save us.

What would you answer and  why?

Mary

There are some people/nations/races that God does not love -false.

The real cure and remedy for sin is found in more education -false.

God love us all -Muslim, Christian or Hindu-human, dog or chicken. He doesn't pick and choose who among his creations to love.

I think that the cure for sin is love because I think that the cause of sin is the lack of love.

Welcome Mary,

I have read the replies you received from some of the others and even though I regard them as very wise responses I thought I'd add my reflections as well.

I respect the study of the bible and all educational aspects of gaining a deeper knowledge of All things that are righteous.  Yet sometimes there can be no absolute correct answer especially when dealing with T and F questions.  Particulaly where God and deciphering His Word are in question.

1. "There are some people/nations/races that God does not love"

I think this to be false, and as Judy conveyed His Love is boundless which includes all peoples and all things.............for all things are after all His creation.  I also believe that while He always has an abundance of Love for everyone and everything, there are times that His Love is so magnificent it goes beyond our very comprehension.  Perhaps when a single sinner returns to Him with a sincere heart, or an addict finds the strength to overcome their demons through Him..........the list undoubtedly could run for miles.  But I believe that it is almost impossible to understand the depths His Love is capable of, especially when the 'lost' have found Him.

2. "The real cure and remedy for sin is found in more education"

Allow me to expand with some of my added thoughts on this one.  Love is indeed the ultimate cure for sin.   Yet the remedy may be found on different paths.  That path may be through education so long as the student seeks with an open and thirsty heart for the Truth.  Education is found in many many forms, from bible studies, Sunday school, parental guidence, the school of hard knocks..........again the list is endless.  "Seek and ye shall find".  The remedy is found when knowledge is paired with wisdom, thereby allowing ones Heart to feel the indignity of sin and to choose to do something Loving about it.

So in my heart I believe that : remedy (education / knowledge) + Love (cure) = worthiness.

Added note, as for the perception of God having hate towards some.  Please regard my #1 reply again.  As I think that being it almost an impossibility for us to truly comprehend the enomity of His Love for us. When He Loves with even greater depth ( when a sinner returns etc.) - it may only make sense to us if we view even His steady and eternal Love as hatred.  For His massive Love even when it flows with ease is beyond our realm.  Not beyond our reach, only our fathoming.

Peace,

Fredi
