Living in the Presence of A "Tiger"

Quote From: fredastare

Yes Turtle the rewards of living and enabling one's heart to swell with All is a gift.  The gift is in my view almost selfish, as it fills my heart with contentment.    Enlightenment comes to those who seek, even those who may not realize they are searching on a conscious level - that is what I have come to believe.  I am praying that one day I will no longer need to tell myself to appreciate and Love everyone and everything around me.  I do hope that it will manifest into what Dr.Phil often describes as 'a new tape running through my mind'.

I am still re-reading all of the posts on the other threads.  Everyone has such a gentle and accepting Spirit in sharing their beliefs and Hearts.  I hope to be 'up to speed' with all, but if I lag just point me in the right direction.  If what I may ponder here has already been addressed in another quote.

Now a question to all...............what to do when in our life we indeed discern a Tiger!  And there is no possibility of moving away from that Tiger?  What if that Tiger has a great influence on not only you, but your loved ones and your community?  I understand that this is rather a broad and open ended question, so if you would like a bit more info I will try and provide as much as I am able to do so.

thanks & Peace,

See my recent post to "contrary/Mary" as well . . . .

It's a tough call, really.  Sometimes, we just have to keep practicing love, in the sense of, not letting fear of the Tiger get the best of us (literally).

I sometimes wonder what "karma" may be involved when we have situations that we can't get out of.  It really forces us to deal with things, period; or sometimes perish trying. I think this may be seen on the personal as well as the societal level.

The situation I referred to earlier, was about a "Tiger" in the wild where it belonged.  When we are dealing with "human predators" living among us, dealing with them can be much more complicated.  Furthermore, I think because of our "meditation" for generations on all of the negative aspects of human potential (our "sinful natures" as preached about over and over again), we are seeing more and more negative behavior as a consequence.

Something that I have tried to re-focus on again and again even on this site is our capability to love, in effect, I'm trying to get at least some people here to meditate on something different from that "sinful" and "negative" picture that is currently so popular.

If our society is going to change, we are going to have to keep shifting our focus more and more as time goes by towards our highest calling rather than our lowest.  Otherwise, I suspect we will continue to suffer more and more "negative" consequences.

In Peace and Love,

Turtle Love
