I am also bi polar. They first dignoised me with type II and now they have it as rapid cycling. I have been dealing with this for a while and I also live in the dayton area. The only suggestion I would have is to look at some of the mental health facilities. I know it is hard to find groups on bi polar. Most of the groups I have found are D&D groups which mean dual dignois.
