Quote From: misshappyTnank goodness you are not a therapist, because the world would be in trouble. I guess you like to see people do bad, and not get help. I am so happy to see Dr. phil helping this family. This is his job. If you don't want to watch this show, simply turn it off!
You were responding to someone else who was tired of seeing this family so many times. But you obviously want to see them and their progress, or lack thereof. It's going to take a lot more than a few shows with Dr. Phil to do this family any good.
This family needs indepth, long term and maybe even residential treatment to get to the bottom of their trials and tribulations. I, for one, got up in the middle of this show and took a shower . I can only stand looking at her so long before I want to shake her. Bridgette STILL does not take responsibility for anything wrong with herself, her marriage, or her children and sits there like some kind of wannabee queen calling her kids liars when they dare to disagree with her. She has an emotional void and only thinks of what can make herself temporarily happy. I agree with some of the other posters that she needs to get out and actually work for a few days in her life, you know, EARN something for a change or do something for someone else.
And that's not letting MIchael off the hook either. He's certainly no poster boy for Husband or Father of the Year. But at least I think there's hope for him.
I feel more compassion for the son than any of them. That kid makes me want to cry. He just needs someone to guide him and it's too bad it's not his father and mother.
My best wishes go to the children and I hope all of them find the healing they need.
