I took your advice about the resperidal and took it 2 and a half hours before bed.  When I went to sleep the agitation was gone so it worked.  My next question for you is did you oversleep on the medication when you first started it?  I am not waking up until the afternoon and I have had bags under my eyes for that last couple of days.  Please let me know your experience if you remember.  Thanks.

I overslept with all the drugs for the first few days. It takes some time to adjust to them. The bags. Oh yes, respiradol bags. Forgot about them. You'll have them. You are also exhausted from not getting enough sleep for a while. It should even out after a few days but if it does not that's an issue for the doctor.

I'm so glad you are trying again and I truly believe that in the long run you will be glad. Once you have your medication down you will feel that you have your illness under control and that you are no longer controlled by it. I've seen so many posts over the past few days from people saying that their lives are "hell" and that they are so miserable. I don't feel that way at all.
Bipolar disorder is not the central fact of my life; it's just an illness I have to deal with before I can go on with the rest of my life.

How much are you taking?

You may be taking more than you need, also. Of course, this is an issue for the doctor. I take .5 mg and rarely, when I am really racing, 1mg. Dosage is an individual thing and something to be worked on with your doctor, but you may be able to ease off those dosage if the oversleeping does not stop. Just a thought.
