Quote From: djmattI have been thinking seriosly about attainig an attorney, but I really cannot afford it. I am fighting one of the Largest corporations in the world. And these people on the local level have kept my health in such poor condition I have numerous complaints that have already exceeded the 180 days which is the statute of limitations by law to file a complaint according to the EEOC. Which I feel is very unfair in circumstances like mine.
I so still have some legitimate complaints that I think I will report to the EEOC, but tell Dr Phil he needs to hire me a lawer. I need help, bad. I know you can't really do this, but I have tried to handle things diplomatically and by company policy, to no avail.
I am going by my office to check my email there to see what the CEO and VP of this company has to say.
Thanks for your input, I need all the help I can get.
Also, as far as exercising, I have studied Japaneese Karate and Tae Kwon Do both American and Korean. I have my uniforms washed, pressed and ready for action. I am starting to practive low impact Martial Arts, Tai Chi, which is based on breathing techniques and fluid movements that help various parts of your body, and targets longeveity, stress relief and averall health benefits. I am trying to find resources because at this point I am just learning the basics. There are no classes or instructors available in my area as far as I can find. But I will continue researching the techniques of this unique for of martial arts. I reiterate that it is more for self preservation than self-defense, but self defense is involved.
Hi...a friend of mine used to live down the old country road from where Chuck Norris lived near Normangee, Texas. Truly, a beautiful and serene part of Texas about 45 minutes from Texas A&M main campus in College Station, Texas. His book is SPECTACULAR and I think you would GREATLY enjoy. Here's a snapshot of his autobiography "The Secret Within". I like smaller books like his where you don't get lost in the rhetoric. So, even if you aren't an avid reader, you might enjoy as succinct and to the point and VERY good, I think. And you wouldn't think a woman would read his book as I never watched the series but knew people who did and I read after seeing him interviewed on TV since he had such peace. I'm always interested in peace of mind techniques and Chuck Norris's book is excellent and likely at your local library.
The Secret Power Within
Written by Chuck Norris
ABOUT THIS BOOK
Chuck Norris has spent a lifetime studying the martial arts, earning several black belts and world championships. Now, through anecdotes about his own
personal struggles and triumphs, Norris explains how the ancient system of Zen--the core philosophy behind the martial arts--can help each of us achieve
spiritual tranquillity and self-confidence.
The Secret Power Within is both a highly accessible lesson in Zen philosophy as well as the compelling story of Chuck Norris's own remarkable success. In this highly entertaining and inspiring account, Norris shows how Zen can be applicable to everyday situations, from the conference room to...
* Winning by Losing: If you have nothing to prove, you have no need to fight.
* Complete the Wheel: How to balance your life to achieve success.
* Your Master, Your Art: To maintain self-respect you must respect the work you do, and do it as well as possible.
* My Way of Meditating: Norris's personal technique for achieving tranquillity under pressure.
