brandi's attorney

Quote From: xlegal2000

I dont believe Brandi even had an inkling or knew what a "plea bargain" was.  She was not understanding of legal jargon. Her sleazy lawyer tried to dump the case to go on with something that he knew he would win and convinced her to go for a plea bargain at the last minute so he could go on with another lucrative case that probably paid him more money. Washnt he a court appointed lawyer?  They are the worst. If you cant make it in prvt. practice, you cant be that good.  She should have had representation at that particular moment to advise her and not to just listen to him.  She got a bad deal with her lawyers.
Though I can't say I know this atty., but something sounded fishy about the whole thing. ?A judge reappointing her atty., him referring Brandi to someone with a different plan of action and seeming little regard for a young teen's life. What client doesn't deserve a thorough explanation of procedures and legal options... especially our young adults. These teens are our future. With proper reform, a guidance counseler, and family counseling, this young woman could have so much to contribute to our society! If their is one good-intentioned attorney taking notice, please help bring this young-lady home. I know that she will find a way to turn her guilt and pain into something positive. Someone give her that chance!

Unfortunately Brandi's family paid for that lawyer. He was not a court appointed lawyer. But the big question is while mommy and daddy were playing unsolved mystery detectives, who was checking up on the lawyers they paid for? I don't get it. It just sounds very weird to me.
