myspace is not the problem
Quote From: manofgoodsMany people would use MySpace to meet people, & such. I think that EVERY parent who's child is under the age of 18 should definitely have their stuff monitored(or to get their E-mail addresses & Passwords, at least). Another question:Besides using MySpace at home, what about other places? Such as the library, or other places like that? Their parents won't be able to watch their children on that! If they don't have their computers filtered like my libraries does, then shame on them! I'm 23 years old & use MySpace, & I know better than to mess with someone under the age of 18! Sometimes they'll just lie about their age & I wouldn't know it! Some kids do that & I wonder why. How can we find out about that?  I'm 19 years old and use Myspace. Myspace is not the problem. Parents should not have to monitor their children and have access to their emails and all their passwords. All that will do is cause the child to get pissed off and rebel against their parents. Minors need to realize that people aren't always what they seem, and they shouldn't go meet someone they met online without some kind of protection. It doesn't just happen to kids under 18. It happens to people over 18 as well. Some 20some year old girl was murdered in my state by some 20some year old guy she met on Myspace. It's just plain stupidity is the problem. People need to be educated on what to do and what not to do.
