well, they cant legally diagnose you with BPD until you are at least 18...if u get the chance to read your file you might find that they have said in the past that you have the tendancies of BPD but they cant formally give you that diagnosis until your 18 and are essentially an adult. Mostly it does come from a background of abuse and neglet, major depression and post traumatic stress. Well i cant say that for definate, but of all the people ive met and including myself with BPD thats what its all come from, but with the right meds and therapy, you can over come it.. I am...slowly...but i am moving past it.. look for my previous post a couple of weeks ago, of how i described it....
