This woman doesn't just have an opinion, she is "punishing" people by tricking them into buying things they do not want.

Her "punishment" is 10 times worse then the "crime"...

I am VERY angry about what this woman does and I always put the stupid bar down and I am always polite to everyone.

I just don't see that someone not doing this is deserving of having "expensive item" put on thier bill...that is ridiculous and incredibly unethical. As I said before, I have been poor enough that a $5 pack of batteries can really mess up my budget.

You're right - It is reasonable to expect courtesy. However, in this case, the courtesy should be coming from HER. It is the responsibility of the SECOND person in line to place the divider. It is NOT the responsibility of the person IN FRONT of her. 

  

It makes her look like a complete idiot to be on a crusade against people who aren't on top of indulging her laziness. 

  

I can't believe she is so lazy and lacking in common courtesy that she can't put a 4 ounce piece of plastic in front of her own purchases. And sneaking unwanted items into the order of the person in front of her is unconscionable. 

Where is it written that someone is "supposed to " put the bar down? Give me a break. If the bar is so important to her, then she should, lift that big heavy piece of plastic and place it between the groceries herself.  

What we are "supposed" to be is tolerant, reasonable adults. Adding your groceries to someone else's order because they do not behave in the manner that you think they should is silly and immature.
