your not alone. My ex and the father of a beautiful girl is a mooch to his parents and I've been told by his mother that she will kick him out. Hasn't happened yet and he is 23. At least I can teach our daughter that mooching is wrong.

I have a friend that lives next door.  Her son who is 26 years old never finished the 10th grade, has bounced back and forth from jail, Grampy's (who gives him money anytime, and everytime), to his mother's, and friends.  Done this forever, and has never had a job longer than two days.  I tell, my friend, she should tell her father not to give him money like he dose.  He should have to work for it.  I don't understand how she puts up with it.  She (my friend) gets up at 5:00 AM to get ready for work, and if that son of her's comes home to late, and the house is locked for the night, he will beat on her window till she gets up.  Which sometimes it's well after midnight.  Then all day he sleeps, and then him and his friends hang out there at her house.  I tell her kick his bead beat butt out.  She just says I don't understand.  I feel bad for any parent, that has to put up with this.

My daughter is 15, and work 40 hrs a week, (until school starts) (has work permit).  I told her she can have a certain amount of spending money cause the rest is going to be put up in some type of savings.  Her job started out at 30 hours, but once she started adding money, and realizing working Monday thru Fridays was pretty easy.  She asked for 40 hours.  You have to teach your kids to work for their money.  You have to teach your kids the value of a dollar.
