What you say is correct. Allie is crying for help and has been but they aren't hearing what she is saying and they aren't willing to do what it takes to help her. All of the rehab and therapy in the world will not help unless the entire family gets help.
Allie is a wonderful young lady. She is kind,gentle and cares about others. One of her problems is that she has no self worth because that is what she has been taught. There is more to love than going on Dr. Phil's show and asking for help.
You can patch a flat tire but if you don't remove the nail it won't help.
