I grew up with a fat, lazy, manipulative mother too. She got the bipass surgury and is now thin, lazy, and manipulative. Not once did this mother apologize to her kids for the abuse she made them suffer. I hope she has a wake up call about that too. I'm only going by what I saw but I didn't see this woman as bad or evil. I saw her as someone who was in deeeeeeeeeeeep denial and that denial justified a lot of bad things.
This woman seemed loving though. Like I said, I don't know her. But I think that this family has a really good chance of staying bonded and they can turn that bond around into good.
She may appolgize someday when she's ready. And her kids might too. This family is going through a very very horrible nightmare, we only saw a split second of their world.
She did not abuse her kids...she has a lot of emotional problems. Parent are NOT perfect, even when you have off spring you continue to be a human being with faults.
I liked Dee Dee...I can't put my finger on it but she seem to have an inner light. I don't normally say that about people either. I hope she pulls through because I think she has more to offer the world then this.
