I used Luddite in the sense of "a person opposed to increased industrialization or new technology." I think this community falls into that category; in many ways I do myself.

I realize Luddite can have a derogatory meaning, but that is not what I meant. I think they have very good reasons for what they do, and I have no words against their choice to do without modern conveniences
