I think eventually Brandon will be okay and will look back on this as a way to educate others. I lived common-law with a man 41 who still won't admit he has a problem with drugs. He says all he does wrong is get the munchies, otherwise is laid back.
I'm not sure where he got that idea, as after living with him for 7 months I got my children and myself out of there. We were swore at, belittled, and scared. He would go from happy to his anger being totally out of control within minutes. The reason he got so angry was (in his eyes) always someone else's fault. Even if someone at work upset him (supposedly) we would get the brunt of his anger the second he came in the door, and didn't stop yelling until he would finally "fall asleep". The night before we left, he came home from work yelling and screaming, swearing, slamming doors....because he owed "a friend" 1000.00 for drugs, and he didn't have the money. Of course, it was our fault.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, he is 41and still won't admit he has a problem, Brandon is still young, and at least admitting he has a problem....that is the first step to recovery.
So Brandon, if you're reading this....I have faith in you, I am praying for you, and you have a great support system.....make us proud!!!!!!
