Quote From: kcarrollThe show was bad enough to watch, but to then get on the website and read the mom's reply was just astounding! To put her website on your message just really shows what your true intentions are with your child. Everyone wants their child to be the best they can be at whatever they choose, but eventually you do have to back off. And why "play" the concerned parent role on the Dr. Phil show when you won't even hear what he has to say!?!? Did anything he say even sink in with you!?!?
If Joe Simpson can make the statement that your child won't get a record deal until at least 15 or 16, why would you be so critical of her at 9 years old??? My honest opinion is that we will never see this girl make it because she will be tired of YOUR routine in the near future. How can traveling all the time and being punished for not "hitting the right note" be fun for a child??
To Kara, good luck in whatever you want to pursue in life! You can do whatever you want in life as long as you are surrounded by the love and SUPPORT of your family and friends! :-)
Your exactly right we probably will never see this child make it because she will be burned out by the time she reaches the age of 15 or 16.
Kara, your post is way off based how can you possible compare making your children brush their teeth to performing ? I don't get it not brushing their teeth will result in health problems! Not singing correctly is hardly comparable. You really stated why you push her the way you do when you stated how much money you have wrapped into her singing. This has become more about you and less about her in my humble oppinion.
