Quote From: elffieYou bring up the Da VInci Code, interesting because after many people told me I should read it I have started to. Everything that I have read so far about Pagan symbology is correct. The author clears the misconception of the Pentacle, which most people do not understand. I have not gotten very far in the book yet, but find it a very good read. And so far, his historical take on symbology is correct, many Pagan temples indeed were turned into churches and still contain Pagan symbols inside the churches.
Anyway, I know this doesn't really have anything to do with this topic, I just wanted to put my two cents in on this matter. I still don't think being gay is a choice, what you mentioned above were choices. I don't think being gay is wrong, just different.
Have a good day.
I do believe that you are right with a few things of what you mentioned including the misconception of the Pentacle. The design is different in the church of satan than it is with Pagan circles, from my understanding...Pentacle diagram represents the circle of life and more.
I have friends at one time who were into witchcraft. One friend in particular who is a Pagan Priest. I used to work with him which was how we got connected as friends. The Christian...who struggles with unwanted homosexuality who has hung out with gay witches...white supremist red-necks who are into death metal...had worked at a gay bar on fetish nights...worked as a first aid attendant for a few years at Rave Dance Parties...and you know, when I share my testimony to people they always get the reader's digest version because I just don't have enough time in a day to share with people all of what God has done in my life. I don't judge people and I can have a pretty decent conversation with just about anybody and still maintain my belief's and my core values in life.
I don't like death metal, I am a Southern Gospal Bluegrass kind a country gal lost in the city:)
My suggestion to you that you and anyone else who is interested in studying further about the Da Vinci Code to check out this web site...

The ironic thing about lies is that one take a little truth and then one twists and perverts truth.
In the end what have you but partial truth, which isn't truth at all.
There is another book out there called Breaking The Da Vinci Code by Josh McDowell, I believe he is the author of this of this book.
Think about this for one moment...Does this make sense?
A group of people get together and say, "here, let's create this conspirousy theory, one can die on a cross, another can actualy die upside down on the cross and one get boiled alive in oil. Let's all create this conspiriousy and then actualy die horrible deaths...all for what we know to be a lie,"
Yes, I do believe that at times, more often then not, we can't choose our battles in life. I never said that being gay was a choice because believe you me, if I had a choice that would make my walk of faith just a little easier to walk...you know what I mean? There are some choices that we do have and behavior is one thing we can control.
I suppose people will debate about pro-gay theology just as much as they debate on who Jesus is and who he claimed to be.
Peace to you my friend, and I hope that you will check out that web site...Disscuss Da Vinci. com
