Belonging to God:)

Quote From: pam333

Most persons desire to live right and feel a sense of belonging......most persons desire connection with a true God........one we can depend upon ........someone who has the right choice for us because they created us for a purpose.......this is our Father in heaven......unlike any father here on earth.......full of love and compassion and patience and mercy and grace.........this is something we all desire.......RIGHT.........well .....there are guidelines we need to follow ........it is always for our best, not for evil...........God is not an evil taskmaster, laying guidelines to be mean...........he is a holy GOD.......and those desiring the Kingdom of God can only enter through surrender of our selfish ways..........He is our creator, afterall, and knows what is best........there is freedom in surrender........

I have found some scriptures to support my reply:

1st Corinthians 6:9.....Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of go? Those who indulge in sexual sin, idol worshippers, adulterers, male prostitutes and homosexulas.

1st Timothy 1:10.......These are the laws for people who are sexually immoral, for homosexuals, slave traders, oath breakers, and for those who do anything else that contradicts the right teaching.

Anyone desiring to enter the kingdom of God......can ask forgiveness for the past ......at any time ....and you can experience the freedom offered....it is yours ....by grace.......Jesus will intercede for you to the Father.......just ask

I have learned this truth... As I surrender my life to Christ there is this profound sense of strength and courage to continue walking down this road submitted to the will of God.

Was it easy for Jesus to walk in obedience? We sometimes over-look Christ's humanity.

The bible in the book of Hebrew says this of Jesus...

"He learned obedience through the things he suffered..."

One day I was in prayer over my homosexual desires.  I was in bible college and realy battling if I realy had the hope of Christ and in my prayer I confessed before God...

"God, I am afraid that one day I will stand before you only to hear the words depart from me you worker of iniquity.  I am afraid that I will never be good enough to enter into your Kingdom. "

God's response to me at that point was...

"So let my Son Jesus Christ be good enough,"

This was the first time I came to see 1 Cor 6:9,10 in light of God's love, grace and mercy.  Which was found in the verse that follows...

"And that is some of you were...but you have been washed, sanctified, and you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God," 1Cor 6:11

The bible says that we have all fallen short, there is not one sin that is greater then another.  This simply says that we are ALL (every single person on this planet) in need of a lifestyle change when coming to faith in Christ.  We all have "stuff" in our lives and it's important to note that God loves all of us where we are at.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him,"  Jn 3:16,17

Was it easy for Jesus?  No, he actual didn't want to go through with it.  He prayed to His father..

"If it is possable let this cup pass," And as he sweat great drops of blood He came to say..."Father, not my will but your will be done,"

"For the joy set before Him He endured the cross..."

It wasn't a joyful experience in the present for Him but joy would come after the choice He made to follow in obedience to His Father.
