I really wasn't starting a whose the minority contest. I hope it didn't come off that way. I was just pointing out to Powers that she is indeed in one of the largest groups in America and it's a group that does it's fair share of bullying. So pretending to be picked on doesn't give anyone power. Especially when it's not true.

I used to be in that bully majority a couple years ago. I'm now an atheist, 3-4% of the country is atheist.  I am not going to get into the the things that I have heard and dealt with in this short of time already.  But I am going to say that it's scary to lose that large of a cover and that large of a group to hide within. Being an atheist I am rudely asked several times a month by people online and in reality to explain myself. I never experienced that when I was a Christian.

That's all that comment was getting at.

I was just adding a little bit of humour into what you said, because your are right with you statistic.  There are so few people in this world who don't believe that God exists and today it's far easier to be spiritual then not to be spritual at all.

I was just having this conversation with a few young adults with my church earlier in the week and we all agreed to what you were saying.

I was not wanting to start a whose the minority contest either, realy, it was just a bit of humour on my part.

In fact, I also believe that there are more people world wide who have come out of homosexuality to embracing scripture as a whole then there are people who are atheists.

To be honest, I realy don't understand why some people just don't believe that God does exist.  I mean, I hear a lot of responses from people as to why they don't believe and I look from where I am coming from and still, possably with similar experiences, I still believe.

My faith does not rest on who attends my church or even whose in leadership.  If anything, I have challenged the leadership within my own church.  I don't attend a perfect church, I attend a church with many people who have "stuff" that they too are dealing with and I am not the only one in my church who has come out of the gay lifestyle either.

I am not asking you to explain yourself because I don't know if I will ever understand why people may simply just not believe at all in God.

Sincerly,
