I think you are so right, I don't think that wanting and needing love and affection is a sign of insecurity of low self esteem. We all need to not only be loved but shown love. It is not that difficult to say I love you to someone when you mean it or to give a kiss or hug in the morning or at the end of the day. There is no better way to unwind at the end of the day then to do it with someone you love. I think that it is something that people (especially men) need to be taught. Do onto otheres as you want them to do onto you...........it makes sence to me.
