if you can't have a good relationship with them it's best to stay away.
The husband admits he does not know when he is telling the truth and when he is lying. That does not speak well for a position of public trust. I would think this is not the type of person we would want to testify in court if he does not know what is truth or lies.
I would hope Dr. Phil aids this woman by asking another law enforcement agency to check out her stocking concerns and his abuse of power by calling off his wife's call for help by calling 911. I believe this is illegal and if in fact he did that then he should face the liability of his bahavior.
If this woman does not get away from this man, I would suspect the kids are in danger of loosing their mother due to his obvious jealous and disruptive behavior.
